Job summary

F3 Law in Missouri seeks a Senior Litigation Associate to independently manage complex civil matters and advise clients throughout discovery, motions, settlement, trial, and appeal. The ideal candidate will own cases, work directly with clients, and collaborate with a seasoned legal team.

This hybrid role requires in-office collaboration two to three days per week; reduced-hour and part-time schedules are possible for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the Missouri Bar required.
• Illinois Bar admission is strongly preferred.
• Approximately 6+ years of substantial civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing litigation matters.
• Strong deposition, discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and advocacy experience.
• Trial and/or significant hearing experience preferred.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent judgment, client service orientation, and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse and sophisticated litigation caseload.
• Develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Conduct and manage all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, document review, and discovery-related motion practice.
• Draft and argue motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare facts and expert witnesses.
• Participate in hearings, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical advice regarding litigation strategy and risk.
• Work directly with clients to understand objectives, communicate case developments, and provide responsive counsel.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and legal support professionals.
• Assist with mentoring junior attorneys and legal professionals.
• Participate in business development and client relationship-building activities, as appropriate.
