Platt Richmond PLLC in Dallas seeks a senior-level Litigation Associate to manage a broad range of commercial matters across Texas and the U.S. You will mentor junior attorneys, oversee tasks, and develop strategy for motions, discovery, hearings, and trials.

The candidate has 5+ years of commercial litigation experience, J.D. and Texas Bar, strong writing and communication, and a collaborative team player who thrives with independence yet seeks feedback.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Experience litigating commercial disputes in State and Federal Courts.
• Experience managing junior attorneys and paralegals without micromanagement.
• Strong experience drafting motions, including TROs, Motions for Summary Judgment, Pretrial Motions, and Discovery related motions.
• Extensive experience drafting and managing varied discovery over a wide variety of cases.
• Excellent communication and grammatical skills, both verbal and written.
• Team player; receptive to constructive feedback.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• J.D. and Texas Bar Admittance.

Position Overview

Platt Richmond is seeking a senior-level Litigation Associate to join our growing practice. This role is designed for someone responsible for managing a broad range of commercial litigation matters both in Texas and across the country including contract, fraud, intellectual property, defamation, real estate, creditor’s rights, class action defense and other business disputes. This role requires a deep and varied knowledge of the litigation process in state and federal courts, substantial experience managing multiple team members with minimal oversight, and excellent base litigation skills including legal research, writing, strategy development, hearings, depositions, and trial preparation. This role will work with, and mentor, junior associate attorneys and paralegals.

• 5+ years of commercial litigation experience involving business disputes and causes of action
• Experience litigating commercial disputes in both State and Federal Courts. Experience with creditor’s rights litigation and appeals are preferred but not required
• Experience managing junior attorneys and paralegals without micromanagement
• Strong experience drafting motions, including Temporary Restraining Orders, Motions for Summary Judgment, Pretrial Motions, and Motions relating to discovery disputes.
• Extensive experience drafting and managing varied and tailored discovery over a wide variety of cases
• Strong attention to detail
