Our client, a growing Houston area law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Associate to join their team. This role provides an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a passion for litigation and experience in handling complex icases. As a part of the litigation team, you will be responsible for managing cases from inception through trial, This firm offers great benefits, bonus structure and partnership track.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a wide range of commercial matters (NO personal injury)
• Manage a caseload involving complex legal issues, from pre-suit investigation to trial preparation and settlement negotiations.
• Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediation, and court appearances.
• Provide timely and effective legal advice to clients, keeping them informed of case progress, potential risks, and strategy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and assist with case strategy and legal research.
• Stay current on developments in insurance law, tort law, and trial procedures.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
• 2-5 years of experience in business/commercial litigation or related practice area.
• Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure, insurance law, and defense strategies.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience in depositions, hearings, and motion practice.
• A client-focused approach with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
