Job summary

HDR is seeking a Liquid Fuels Infrastructure Technical Lead to execute technical deliverables for federal and commercial liquid fuels projects. You will mentor engineers, coordinate staff and ensure quality control across complex systems.

You will design fuel systems, manage programs, build internal capabilities, and collaborate with clients and leadership to deliver reliable, safe, and efficient infrastructure that supports national security and public facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license or equivalent professional engineering credential required.
• Minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design for commercial/institutional buildings.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, grow and execute HDR’s Federal and commercial Liquid Fuels Infrastructure portfolio.
• Manage projects or programs, including technical staff and sub-consultant teams.
• Provide analysis, evaluation and design of fuel systems for military and commercial clients.
• Support marketing, client development and cross‑functional collaboration to maximize satisfaction and profitability.
• Coordinate workload and ensure documents are completed on schedule.
• Lead design of liquid petroleum fuel systems (above-ground, hydrant, distribution, loading, and related mechanical systems).
