Job summary

Deutsche Bank is seeking a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator in New York to support a global low-latency UNIX infrastructure across multiple data centers. You will manage 2,300+ servers, lead kernel tuning, hardware upgrades, and vendor coordination while collaborating with trading, market data, and risk teams.

The role requires deep Linux expertise (SLES/RHEL), real-time considerations, and experience with InfiniBand, PCIe, and network services.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration experience in enterprise environments with SLES and RHEL.
• Linux systems tuning for ultra-low latency and production reliability.
• Experience with server hardware lifecycle planning, deployment, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support for Change the Bank and Run the Bank activities across the Global Low Latency UNIX infrastructure.
• Plan, deploy, activate, productionize, upgrade and maintain low-latency server hardware and OS across sites.
• Perform advanced Linux tuning, including CPU isolation, real-time threads, interrupt affinity, NIC buffering, and kernel enhancements.
• Partner with application teams to align environments with the tech roadmap and upgrades.
• Design, test and validate engineering releases and RPMs for ultra-low-latency apps.
• Drive standardization and automation while coordinating with vendors and UNIX teams.
