Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in New York seeks a VP-level Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator to support a global low-latency infrastructure spanning thousands of servers and multiple data centers. You will manage hardware lifecycle, perform kernel tuning, and coordinate with trading platforms across FX, markets data, rates, equities, commodities, and derivatives.

Qualifications

Extensive experience administering enterprise Linux environments, including SLES and RHEL.
Deep knowledge of low-latency systems engineering, including Linux kernel tuning and real-time concepts.
Strong TCP/IP networking, routing, firewalling, and data center networking experience.
Experience with enterprise server hardware (HP ProLiant) and storage (EMC, NetApp).
Proficient with Perl, Shell, and Ansible for automation.
Experience with VMware and cloud platforms (GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide dedicated support for Change the Bank and Run the Bank activities across the Global Low Latency UNIX infrastructure.
Plan, deploy, activate, productionize, upgrade and maintain low-latency server hardware and OS across sites.
Perform latency-specific tuning and kernel enhancements to optimize performance.
Collaborate with application/project teams to align environments with the technology roadmap.
Lead technical decision-making during incidents and changes, and drive automation initiatives.
