Job summary

Referment is seeking a Systems Developer to join a team responsible for high-performance research and trading infrastructure. You will operate across large-scale compute, operating systems, tooling, networking and storage to optimize performance and reliability.

The role spans workload scheduling, fleet management and clustered file systems, with emphasis on kernel/network tuning and insights through metrics.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python/Go/Rust or similar language.
• CS degree or up to 5 years of practical experience.
• Curiosity to explore unfamiliar problems in complex tech systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve workload scheduling and fleet-management for large compute environments.
• Contribute to clustered file-system design, tooling and platform reliability.
• Investigate and tune kernel and network performance for latency-sensitive apps.
• Build metrics collection and analysis tools to understand and improve infra behaviour.
• Collaborate with a global engineering team supporting research and trading workloads.
