Job summary

Soliel, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support Linux-based systems in a secure environment. The role emphasizes cryptography, secure communications, and reliability across Linux, Java, and related stacks.

Responsibilities include hardening Red Hat Linux, building automation with Ansible and Red Hat Satellite, scripting in Bash/Perl/Python, and collaborating with security and development teams to maintain compliant platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong Red Hat Linux systems administration experience.
• RHSA certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Scripting experience: Bash and Perl or Python.
• Experience with Ansible and Red Hat Satellite for automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and harden Red Hat Linux systems in enterprise and production environments.
• Design and implement automation using Ansible and Red Hat Satellite to support provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle operations.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Perl or Python for operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues across the Linux and Java stack.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and development teams to ensure secure designs.
• Support cryptographic services and secure communications infrastructure, including TLS and HSM integrations.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement.
