Job summary

INNOVIM Defense Services is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the MDA IRES program at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. The role focuses on architecture, sustainability, and troubleshooting of Linux environments, with emphasis on automation, backups, and disaster recovery.

You will work with network, system, and cybersecurity engineers to ensure high availability and mission readiness, while mentoring junior staff and driving cross-functional projects in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of general (full-time) work experience (may be reduced with advanced education)
• 4+ years directly related experience in enterprise Linux operating systems and server management
• 6+ months in a management or leadership role
• Experience deploying and configuring Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience with Linux Content Management
• Experience with SELinux and fapolicy
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 experience
• Red Hat Satellite and Capsule experience
• Red Hat Identity Manager experience
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical focal point for Linux environments and troubleshooting.
• Bridge traditional infra maintenance with containerization (VMware Tanzu and containers).
• Collaborate with network, system, and cybersecurity engineers for high availability.
• Automate monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, and software deployments.
• Implement cyber security mitigations and maintain SOPs aligned with SLAs and mission readiness.
• Mentor junior staff and lead cross-functional technical projects.
• Decompose complex infrastructure problems and engineer scalable solutions.
• Continually pursue new technologies and continuous improvement.
