Job summary

KBR Senior Linux Systems Administrator — automation-focused role supporting TRMC, ADTR, JMETC and DREN/SDREN environments. You will design and operate Linux-centric servers, automate provisioning with Ansible, and ensure DISA STIG and RMF compliance across distributed test networks.

The role requires extensive Linux expertise, virtualization experience with VMware, and DoD security clearance. Expect cross-functional collaboration and rigorous documentation to enable knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance required.
Minimum 10 years of experience as Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer.
Bachelor's degree; professional experience may substitute for a degree.
In-depth Linux knowledge (RHEL 7/8/9) and shell scripting.
Hands-on Ansible playbooks, inventories, and automation workflows.
VMware vSphere/vCenter experience; virtualization expertise.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux across bare-metal and virtualized environments.
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for provisioning, hardening, patching, and drift remediation.
Support Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes for workload deployment and lifecycle management.
Automate DISA STIG implementations and RMF compliance.
Manage repositories and image baselines with Red Hat Satellite/Foreman.
Administer virtualization and Windows services in a heterogeneous environment.
Maintain TRMC cybersecurity directives and centralized logging.
