Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team seeks a Senior Linux Systems Administrator with a focus on automation and orchestration to support critical DoD networks. You will design, deploy, and maintain Linux-centric server architectures, streamline configuration with Ansible, and ensure DISA/STIG/RMF compliance across distributed test networks.

The role includes managing provisioning, patch cycles, and drift remediation in collaboration with TRMC, ADTR, and JMETC components, with travel up to 20%

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineering role.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9), Bash, and automation using Ansible; familiar with DISA STIGs/RMF.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Linux engineering: install, configure, optimize, and maintain enterprise Linux across bare-metal and virtualized environments.
• Configuration management & automation: develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate provisioning and hardening.
• Containerization & orchestration: support Docker/Podman/Kubernetes environments for workload deployment.
• Security & STIG automation: implement and audit DISA STIGs across OS and app stacks; remediate findings.
• Lifecycle & repository management: manage repositories, updates, and image baselines with Red Hat Satellite/Foreman or equivalents.
• Cross-platform infrastructure support: administer virtualization (VMware vSphere), storage, networking, and Windows services in a hybrid setup.
• Compliance & monitoring: uphold TRMC cybersecurity directives, RMF monitoring, HBSS/Trellix deployments, and centralized logging.
• Documentation & operations: write SOPs, Ansible guides, and network/architecture diagrams for team knowledge transfer.
