CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer 2 to design and develop enterprise quality Linux system software for a lightweight sensor used in Falcon Host on Linux. You will own features touching file systems, memory, processes, and networking with cross-platform components for Windows and Mac.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ and Linux kernel development.
• Experience with high concurrency, kernel internals, and debugging.
• Ability to work in a distributed team and communicate clearly.
• Bonus: Linux eBPF, tracing tech, and endpoint security experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise quality Linux system software for large-scale servers and cloud environments.
• Drive technical proposals and design reviews; provide substantive feedback.
• Represent the team's position in cross-org planning and architecture discussions.
• Participate in planning; scope work, identify dependencies, and flag risks.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers through feedback and code/design reviews.
• Investigate production incidents and complex escalations at fleet scale.
• Champion end-to-end testing and validation for reliability.
