Job summary

Power3 Solutions is seeking a Principal System Administrator (Linux) to support IT systems at Fort Meade, MD vicinity. The candidate must have TS/SCI with a Polygraph and extensive SA experience to manage UNIX/Linux/Windows environments, patching, and security compliance.

The role covers day-to-day operations, incident troubleshooting, and escalation, with a focus on system performance, capacity planning, and collaboration with ISSO/ISO in Change/CM processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs/contracts of similar scope is required.
• Six (6) years of experience with ITSM is required.
• ITIL 4 platform certification is required.
• Linux is required.
• Patching (STE/STN) experience is required.
• AWS experience is required.
• GitLab/GitHub experience is required.
• Terraform experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide configuration management and compliance with security controls.
• Provide day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Implement IAVA security patches and record patch status.
• Coordinate status with agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and perform capacity analysis.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting of IT systems.
• Communicate escalation status to ISSO/ISO as part of Change/Config Management.
• Support ISO POA&M milestones and reflect status in security records.
• Ensure IT assets remain ICAM compliant.
• Provide Tier 2 escalation support.
• Assist in system and mission architecture design.
• Understand SOA interdependencies in system administration.
• Analyze complex issues in server hardware and software integration.
