Job summary

Power3 Solutions seeks a Principal Systems Administrator (Linux, VMware) to support IT systems at Fort Meade, MD. The role involves Linux/UNIX/Windows administration, patch management, and Tier 1–2 issue resolution in a security-conscious environment.

The candidate must hold a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph, with extensive SA experience and ITIL certification. Collaboration with ISSO/ISO is required for security changes and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Six (6) years of experience with Service Management (ITSM).
• ITIL 4 platform certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Configure and manage UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Implement IAVA security patches and insure patch status is recorded in appropriate systems of record.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
