Job summary

Power3 Solutions is hiring a System Administrator (Linux) to support IT infrastructure at Ft. Meade, MD vicinity. The role includes managing UNIX/Linux systems, patching, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and several years of SA/ITSM experience, plus AWS, Terraform, and GitLab/GitHub skills on a security-conscious program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; four (4) years SA experience may substitute.
• Five (5) years SA experience in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Two (2) years ITSM experience.
• Linux experience.
• Patching (STE/STN) experience.
• AWS experience.
• GitLab/GitHub experience.
• Terraform experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) issue identification and resolution.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Perform account management (activate/modify/disable/remove accounts).
• Ensure compliance with system security controls.
• Perform periodic vulnerability scans.
• Implement IAVA security patches and track status.
• Provide status updates to management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization.
