Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator Linux Range Network to support PMRF in Kekaha, Hawai'i. The role focuses on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration across classified and unclassified Navy networks, with responsible for patching, hardening, and RMF compliance.

You will develop automation with PowerShell, Bash, and Python; manage virtualization (VMware/ Hyper-V); collaborate with cybersecurity teams for ATOs and audits; maintain SOPs and system docs; participate

Qualifications

• Formal education as specified: AS degree or equivalent substitutions.
• One year of System Administration/IT experience minimum.
• Knowledge of IT systems and advanced infrastructure concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Red Hat Linux (RHEL) across Navy networks.
• Implement RMF security controls and ensure DISA STIG compliance.
• Apply patches and updates per DoW and Navy policies.
• Manage automation and imaging with SCCM, VMware, Nutanix, Satellite, Ansible.
• Perform system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and lifecycle
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on ATOs and POA&Ms.
• Maintain documentation, baselines, and SOPs.
• Participate in Change Control Boards and Configuration Management Boards.
• Assist with incident response and disaster recovery planning.
• Support backup strategies using Veeam, Commvault.
