Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting our global customer base and data center operations. The ideal candidate is technically driven, detail-oriented, and capable of exercising independent judgment when diagnosing complex system issues and implementing scalable solutions.

Qualificações

• Strong Linux administration experience with CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu.
• Experience troubleshooting non-routine technical issues.
• Familiarity with Bash, Python scripting.
• Experience with web servers, databases, caching, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of Linux utilities, security hardening, Ceph, virtualization, and load balancing.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and implement Linux upgrades to support scalability and reliability.
• Administer Linux servers and services; diagnose and resolve performance, stability, or security issues.
• Serve as escalation point for Linux issues and determine remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering/ops to deploy data centers; ensure system readiness.
• Migrate applications and systems; evaluate dependencies and risks.
• Monitor performance and security; maintain compliance with standards.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to improve efficiency.
• Create documentation and diagrams to support operations and scaling.
• Work cross-functionally to align with reliability and business goals.
