Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to lead day-to-day administration, hardening, and modernization of enterprise Linux environments in support of DoD missions. The role is remote for a US-based candidate with a Secret clearance and experience across on-prem and AWS GovCloud.

You will drive patch management, automation via Ansible and Terraform, and coordinate vulnerability remediation while collaborating with security, network, and application teams to achieve RMF/ATO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 years of equivalent experience
• Active Secret clearance required or higher; TS/SCI preferred
• Minimum 5 years Linux administration, 3 in senior/lead capacity
• Experience in DoD or federal Linux environments
• RHEL in on-prem and cloud environments
• Strong communication of technical strategy to stakeholders
• DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification required or within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and harden enterprise RHEL environments
• Operate high-availability architectures (Pacemaker/Corosync)
• Lead patch management and STIG/ACAS compliance
• Support ASIC software delivery workflows
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Ansible, Terraform
• Write automation scripts (Bash, Python) for ops tasks
• Collaborate with security, network, and apps teams for ATO/cATO
• Mentor junior admins and influence architecture decisions
