The role emphasizes problem-solving, independence, and clear communication to keep agency systems secure and reliable.

Fifteen years of SA experience and a technical degree are required, with a Top-Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of Systems Administrator experience in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; five (5) years of additional SA experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong Linux background and Linux troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive tasks to completion.
• Experience with SSHing to servers, port forwarding/SSH tunneling, and networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT system implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification and resolution.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Support dispatch system and hardware problems and resolution processes.
• Configure UNIX and Windows operating systems and network components.
• Analyze complex problems related to server hardware, applications and software integration.
• Deliver feedback and escalation communications to agency management.
