Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a System Administrator to support IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high-availability infrastructure. The role emphasizes UNIX/Linux environments, collaboration with dev teams, and automation using Ansible/Terraform.

Ideal candidates have a Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance (as required) and a strong background across servers, networks, storage, and security practices. This is an on-site Annapolis Junction, MD role.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a System Administrator in similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; five years of additional SA experience may substitute for degree
• Strong Linux experience is required and ongoing
• Experience with UNIX and Windows systems, networks, and cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud environments
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot system issues to ensure high availability and performance
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Stay current with DevOps trends and best practices
• Provide user support for IT systems and operations
• Perform capacity analysis and plan resource utilization
• Provide detailed feedback to management for escalated tickets
