Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Linux-focused detection research engineer to join our Content Development team. You will research and develop techniques for detecting malicious activity on Linux systems and build production-ready sensor features.

You will collaborate with a small team of Linux engineers, apply secure coding practices, and contribute to high-concurrency, high-performance endpoint software that scales across environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years in reverse engineering or threat detection and on-device development.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS internals: processes, storage, networking, memory.
• Proficiency in C/C++ with high-concurrency, performance-focused code.
• Experience delivering enterprise software with CI/CD, testing, and debugging.
• Ability to work across functions and communicate clearly in a distributed team.
• Experience applying AI technologies to optimize decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build detection logic used across teams to stop breaches.
• Research detection techniques including reverse engineering and big-data analysis.
• Own features from design to production deployment.
• Ensure sensor code is fast, reliable, and conforms to security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies.
• Respond to customer-reported issues and provide hotfixes.
• Mentor teammates and take ownership of deliverables.
• Take on additional projects as assigned.
