Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or related technical field.
• RHCE or equivalent Linux certification
• CompTIA Linux+ or LPIC-2
• VCP or equivalent virtualization certification
• 5+ years of advanced Linux system administration in enterprise environments
• Proficiency with KVM virtualization technologies
• Strong background in NMS integration and configuration
• Advanced scripting: Bash, Python, or Go
• Experience with Config Mgmt tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef
• Experience with LogicMonitor, Zabbix, Grafana monitoring platforms
• TCP/IP networking, routing, firewall configuration
• Linux security hardening and compliance
• Customer-facing project delivery experience
• Hands-on with RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS at scale
• Observability tools: Splunk, Elastic, Graphite, Zabbix
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, infra automation (Ansible, Chef, Salt)
• Disaster recovery and high availability
• Security operations tooling (MS Defender, Nessus, etc.)
• Experience with FreeIPA

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support Linux servers across projects managed by Cloud Systems Engineering
• Evaluate, propose, and build tooling to optimize operations in a KVM virtualization platform
• CloudStack Administration and Engineering
• Estimate and execute customer-facing Linux systems projects
• Define, implement, and respond to internal Linux operational alerting
• Define and implement operational reports and dashboards for capacity management
• Ensure high-quality telemetry across environments
• Architect and manage CloudStack deployments for scalability and multi-tenant setups
• Lead technical diagnoses as part of ITIL problem management
• Define and publish organizational Linux infrastructure standards
• Manage monitoring with LogicMonitor and Grafana
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Ansible and Terraform
• Establish security hardening standards across Linux environments
• Develop configuration pipelines to manage drift using GitHub and Ansible
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose infra improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux with dev pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers and create technical documentation
