SBC Innovations, LLC is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to provide expert engineering, administration, modernization, and operational support for enterprise Linux infrastructure in a large federal government environment.

The role focuses on designing, deploying, securing, and maintaining Linux-based systems supporting mission-critical applications, with emphasis on security hardening, automation, and cloud modernization while ensuring reliability and compliance with federal standards.

Formación

• 8-10+ years of Linux engineering experience in enterprise or federal environments.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux servers across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering support, including advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system optimization.
• Implement secure Linux configurations aligned with federal cybersecurity standards.
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including patching, kernel management, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and related technologies.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible, Terraform, or comparable tools.
• Support enterprise applications, web services, databases, and middleware hosted on Linux platforms.
• Assist with migration, deployment, and administration of Linux workloads in government cloud environments.
• Perform vulnerability remediation, security compliance assessments, and configuration management.
• Develop system health reports, architecture documentation, and operational procedures.
• 8-10+ years of Linux engineering experience in enterprise or federal environments.
• Strong proficiency with Bash scripting and at least one modern scripting or programming language, preferably Python.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware, containers, and cloud computing.
• Experience supporting federal security compliance frameworks, including FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and optimizing enterprise Linux infrastructure.
