Job summary

SoftSages Technology is seeking a Senior Engineer to build, operate and improve Linux-based infrastructure platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. You will implement Infrastructure as Code, automation and cloud-native practices with a strong focus on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Proven IaC and configuration management experience (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Git).
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab).
• Hybrid/cloud environments with AWS infrastructure and services.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Linux workloads and containers with native tooling.
• Familiarity with security, identity, and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support Linux-based platforms across on‑premises and cloud.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and Git.
• Act as Unix/Linux SME within Agile delivery squads and resolve complex platform challenges.
• Develop automation using Go, TypeScript, or similar to reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams to design secure, scalable solutions.
• Ensure systems align with security, regulatory, and operational resilience requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues impacting business-critical services.
• Lead small technical initiatives with risk managed to improve platform standards.
