Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Sr IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure IT infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will lead cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, implement advanced security, and mentor junior admins while delivering IT projects using established PM methodologies.

You will develop automation scripts, perform performance tuning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 8+ years of related experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of systems administration and cloud computing (AWS/Azure).
• Experience designing scalable and secure IT infrastructure; strong security practices.
• Ability to lead, mentor junior admins; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure IT infrastructure.
• Manage cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and optimize cost/performance.
