Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to maintain, automate, and scale enterprise infrastructure for a financial services client. This role emphasizes hands-on engineering across cloud, virtualization, and bare-metal environments to ensure reliability and uptime.

You will drive CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and collaborate with system teams to enforce standards, security updates, and capacity planning while coordinating deployments across tech teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering & lifecycle management for Linux virtual and physical builds, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Automation & CI/CD: build, optimize, and maintain pipelines and deployments using configuration management tools and version control.
• Technical collaboration with System Administrator teams to ensure server compliance and standards.
• Observability: use logging/monitoring tools to analyze performance and capacity.
• Infrastructure delivery: support provisioning, data center migrations, and EOL lifecycle programs.
• Stakeholder support: communicate standards to LoBs and participate in alignment meetings.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Lifecycle Management: Coordinate Linux virtual and physical builds, upgrades, patching, and ongoing system support across cloud, virtualization, and bare-metal platforms.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using modern configuration management tools and version control systems.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with System Administrator teams to ensure rigorous server compliance and technical standards.
• Observability & Capacity Planning: Utilize logging and monitoring tools to analyze system performance and manage capacity.
• Infrastructure Delivery Support: Support provisioning, security updates, data center migrations, and End-of-Life lifecycle programs.
• Stakeholder Technical Support: Communicate infrastructure standards and best practices to Lines of Business and participate in cross-functional meetings.
