Job summary

Quvia seeks a senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the Linux KVM hypervisor platform and the automation used to provision, patch, monitor, and secure it. You will define golden configurations, build bare-metal provisioning pipelines, and operate the monitoring and log collection stack.

You will implement configuration management, CIS hardening, and patching across fleets while maintaining CI for infrastructure code and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance the edge-to-cloud

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, CS, or related field.
10+ years of expert-level Linux administration in production.
5+ years operating Linux KVM/libvirt at fleet scale.
10+ years building automated provisioning from bare metal to workloads.
5+ years patching production fleets with minimal service impact.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain hypervisor golden configurations, including host build standards and VM templates.
Manage hypervisor lifecycle: image builds, patching and rollouts, rollback procedures.
Build and maintain automated bare-metal provisioning: network boot, unattended installation, per-host config.
Build and operate the monitoring platform: Prometheus metrics, dashboards, alerting.
Build and operate centralized log collection for the hypervisor fleet.
Implement configuration management and drift detection across the fleet.
Maintain CIS hardening and automated compliance scanning; patching and IAM across fleet.
