Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in Cambridge, Georgia invites an experienced Senior Linux/SDET engineer to lead test strategy and automation for a distributed Linux-based AI and Compute platform. This is a remote, direct-hire opportunity with a focus on robust testing at scale.

You will own testing of Linux kernel components, develop automated frameworks, and mentor engineers while collaborating across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of relevant software engineering, development, or test experience.
• Strong C development and validation experience focusing on Linux kernel infrastructure.
• Proficient scripting in Python, Shell, and/or Perl.
• Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals including KVM, Virtio, cgroups, memory management, file systems, block I/O, network drivers, and TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall test strategy for a custom Linux kernel supporting AI and Compute platforms.
• Design, build, and scale automated test frameworks focused on performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop comprehensive test suites for new Linux kernel enhancements and support porting modifications to newer kernel/VM versions.
• Troubleshoot and isolate complex, low-level system issues across test and simulated production environments.
• Architect and improve build, automation, and CI/testing infrastructure.
• Perform Linux kernel debugging and performance benchmarking; conduct system-level validation.
• Partner with engineering teams to set quality standards and deliver reliable infrastructure at scale.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
