Job summary

HireReady Partners is seeking a Principal SDET to lead test strategy and automation for a distributed Linux-based AI and Compute platform. This remote, full-time role requires senior technical leadership and deep kernel-level expertise.

You will own testing strategy for a custom Linux kernel, develop advanced automation, and drive CI/CD pipelines to ensure performance, reliability and security at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering, development, or test experience.
• Strong C development and Linux kernel infrastructure expertise.
• Proficiency with Python/Shell/Perl scripting.
• Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals including KVM, Virtio, cgroups, memory management, and filesystems.
• Experience with kernel debugging tools, performance benchmarking, and CI/testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall test strategy for a Linux kernel–based platform focused on AI and Compute.
• Design, build, and scale automated test frameworks for performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop comprehensive test suites for kernel enhancements and porting to new versions.
• Troubleshoot low-level issues across test and simulated production environments.
• Architect and improve build, automation, and CI/CT infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
