Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking a Senior Linux Data Center Technician to maintain health of server and network infrastructure across data centers and global points of presence. You will monitor, troubleshoot, rack and stack equipment, and ensure fast MTTR with on-call readiness.

You will also manage inventory, update SOPs, handle decommissioning, and coordinate with engineering and provisioning teams to support capacity allocation and deployments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years in server, storage, compute and network hardware.
• Experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving equipment.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Report to site during initial construction and brief engineering.
• Troubleshoot and monitor servers and network in data centers/POPs.
• Rack and stack data center network equipment.
• Maintain warehouse inventory and asset management via internal tools.
• Label and troubleshoot fiber/optics cables; manage power cabling and racks.
• Install racks, servers and switches; stage and handoff hardware.
• Manage tickets in Jira; respond to data center incidents.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Receipt and decommissioning of data center hardware.
• Vendor returns and spare parts inventory management.
• Design and implement network layouts within data centers.
