Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Data Center Technician to join the IT Infrastructure team and support multiple data centers. You will deploy and maintain infrastructure powering mission-critical systems, including servers, networks, HVAC and power systems.

The role requires Linux familiarity, hardware experience, and the ability to document, test and optimize data center operations, with after-hours on-call and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a data center or with enterprise IT hardware.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve networking, compute and rack power distribution incidents across data centers.
• Manage complete lifecycle for data center hardware including deployment, operation, maintenance and decommission.
• Rack and cable data center equipment and track physical storage.
• Perform QA testing and resolve recurring issues.
• Update interconnect drawings, rack layouts and procedures.
• Monitor environmental conditions and power/cooling to optimize server performance.
• Maintain detailed performance data for reporting and improvement.
• Collaborate with supply chain and vendors to procure and manage inventory.
