Job summary

SpaceXSI seeks a Datacenter Operations Technician to maintain the health of our server and network infrastructure in data centers and global points of presence. You will monitor MTTR/MTTD and follow procedures, being available on-site for emergencies and escalations.

You will rack and stack equipment, manage inventory, label fiber cables, and handle power/cooling tasks while documenting procedures for teams. The role requires on-call readiness and flexibility for shift timing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years with server, storage, compute and network hardware.
• 2+ years troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking.
• 2+ years inventory management and shipping equipment.
• Pre-employment drug test and background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work at heights up to 50 ft.
• Evenings and weekend availability; schedule varies by site.

Responsibilities

• Report to the job site during initial construction and update engineering as required.
• Troubleshoot and monitor servers and network in data centers and PoPs.
• Rack and stack data center network equipment.
• Maintain warehouse inventory and asset management.
• Label and troubleshoot fiber/optics cables.
• Power cabling, installation, troubleshooting and repair.
• Install racks, servers and switches; hand off to provisioning team.
• Manage, respond to and resolve tickets via Jira.
• Create and maintain SOPs.
• Receive and decommission data center hardware.
• Vendor returns and spare parts inventory management.
• Define, design and implement network layouts in data centers.
