Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Linux Administrator to support government clients. The role requires onsite presence at a government site in Laurel, MD, and involves designing architectures, automating tasks, and maintaining Linux systems across diverse networks.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Linux administration, scripting experience, and AWS knowledge. Clearances TS/SCI with polygraph are required, and a strong, collaborative team orientation is expected.

Qualifications

• Ten years experience as a SA in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; five years of additional SA experience may substitute for a degree.
• Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M with IAT Level II (SEC+, CCNA).

Responsibilities

• Design architecture and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Join a small Linux team in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures.
• Create, debug, and implement Bash, Python, Puppet, and Ansible automation scripts.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate issues with team members and service owners.
