Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to implement and manage a centralized Cloud System Management system in Gaithersburg, MD. This on-site role requires a self-starter who serves as the Linux expert within a small team.

The candidate should have 6+ years of Linux admin experience, hold Active Top Secret clearance, and demonstrate strong communication across disciplines and production-ready practices; exposure to STIG, ACAS, Ansible, and security tooling is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires Linux System Administration experience in production environments.
• Strong communication across teammates and supervisors; ability to communicate across disciplines.
• Must possess practical application of industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Configure ACAS; evaluate STIG; perform ACAS scans and compliance assessment against STIG; configure and manage ePolicy Orchestrator for DLP and Antivirus.
• Configure tools such as YUM, Ansible, and WSUS; remediate and patch systems.
• Set up Kick Start scripts and Boot Server; configure and manage a Linux Identity Management System.
• Set up and configure TFTO and HTTPS; configure an audit reduction/SIEM tool.
• Configure and manage firewalls; configure and manage file sharing with Windows systems; and configure and manage a complete system inventory.
