Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Linux Administrator to support federal contracts in the United States. The team focuses on security compliance to maintain Authority to Operate status and migration to new baselines within a virtualized environment, with duties spanning front-end/configuration to back-end systems.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly, 9+ years Linux administration, 9+ years Bash, 7+ years Perl/Python, and a Bachelor’s degree. Kubernetes and Docker experience are preferred.

• Nine years of Linux administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide support for hardware problems and resolution.
• Configure and manage Linux OS and network components.
• Create bash scripts for system stability and deployment.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Level I (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Optimize system operations and capacity planning.
• Provide analysis and feedback on escalated tickets.
