Job summary

The St. Joe Company is seeking a Cook at WaterSound Beach Club, Watersound, FL. This full-time role supports daily kitchen operations, prepares menu items, and ensures safety and sanitation standards are met during service.

The Cook will assist with ingredient prep, monitor stock, maintain equipment, and help train new team members while upholding hospitality standards and guest experience expectations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read product labels and follow recipes accurately.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and safe food handling.
• Previous kitchen or culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
• Culinary coursework or certification.
• ServSafe certification may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Set up and break down assigned stations and ensure they are ready for service.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping as needed.
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures, times, and techniques for quality.
• Transfer ingredients and supplies to storage areas with proper labeling and rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
