White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking motivated culinary professionals in Austin to mentor entry-level cooks and oversee daily prep and production in a fast-paced food outlet.

You will ensure proper food handling, follow standardized recipes, and help manage food and labor costs while upholding quality standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to health and safety regulations, and actively contributing to guest satisfaction through consistent food quality and service.

• Experience in professional kitchen environments including proper handling of food and equipment.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes, portioning, and plating guidelines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a fast-paced kitchen.

What You’ll Do

• Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices while overseeing daily preparation and production in your food outlet.
• Follow company F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards.
• Check freshness of foods and ingredients, ensuring all recipes and portion-use records are followed.
• Monitor and positively influence guest feedback scores through food quality and service consistency.
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Knowledge of all cooking and preparation equipment.
• Basic cooking skills including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery.
• Culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods of time.
