Job summary

ALS seeks a Senior Developer in the GEL Department to design, develop, integrate, and optimize the GEL Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related applications. You will work with analysts, IT, lab staff, and vendors to ensure technical solutions meet business needs, support excellence, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in laboratory informatics or enterprise systems.
Proficiency in C#, Java, Python and APIs; strong SQL/Oracle database knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of LIMS modules, integrations, and custom features.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions for the GEL Lab.
Ensure coding standards, security, and best practices are followed across projects.
Develop and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and system interfaces with LIMS integration.
Mentor junior developers and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
