Job summary

ALS in Austin seeks a Senior Developer in the GEL Department to design, develop, integrate, and optimize the GEL Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related applications. You will collaborate with Business Analysts, IT, laboratory staff, and external vendors to ensure technology solutions align with business needs, support operational excellence, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in laboratory informatics or enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or similar languages and experience with APIs, data management, and system integration.
• Experience with LIMS development or laboratory/ERP systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of LIMS modules, integrations, and custom features.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure coding standards, best practices, and security protocols are followed.
