Job summary

ALS is seeking a Senior Developer in the GEL Department to design, develop, integrate, and optimize the GEL Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related applications. You will collaborate with analysts, IT, and lab staff to ensure solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in laboratory informatics or enterprise systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python and database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with LIMS development, configuration, or similar laboratory/ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of LIMS modules, integrations, and features.
• Develop APIs, data pipelines, and system interfaces; support instrument and enterprise system integration.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with analysts, QA, and lab stakeholders.
• Create and execute unit/integration tests; support UAT and production support.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure regulatory data integrity.
