Job summary

UC Davis Health seeks a LIMS Manager to lead patient record management and data services for public health laboratories. You will guide a team of LIMS specialists and drive ETOR, ELR, and LDx initiatives.

The role focuses on system design, deployment, and data governance across environmental and clinical labs. You will collaborate with ITSD, CLS, and IDLD to advance LIMS capabilities, ensure data integrity, and support new test panels and platform expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science, or similar IT focus.
• 3–5 years in data integration and data services.
• 3–5 years leading complex application development with a diverse team.
• 3–5 years troubleshooting performance issues for users.
• 3–5 years in communication, marketing, or public relations.
• 3–5 years creating training materials and SOPs for stakeholders.
• Ability to lead knowledge-intensive processes.
• Experience installing/configuring hardware and software.
• Knowledge of data curation, exchange, security, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for LDx and data exchange systems.
• Lead data quality assurance and maintenance of LIMS.
• Manage Cal-LIMS/E-LIMS and perform business analysis.
• Oversee Help Desk support activities.
• Develop and maintain training curricula and SOP documentation.
