The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering or science with a couple of years in manufacturing quality, demonstrates strong English communication, and is willing to travel about 25% to support global production

Qualifications

• B.S. in science or engineering with at least 2 years in manufacturing quality or related experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Be a self-starter who works well under minimum supervision.
• Willingness to travel ~25% to support global production.
• Electrical experience highly desirable.
• UL/ETL certification background preferred; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe PDF editor.
• Manufacturing background preferred; lighting knowledge a plus.
• Must be able to travel to LEDVANCE's distribution centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize technically complex methods for customization of luminaires; advise on process optimization in overseas factories.
• Interface with product management to understand requirements.
• Analyze products to be customized and develop procedures.
• Define materials processing and handling procedures.
• Optimize processes for high throughput and low cost.
• Document procedures in EDOS and BOMs in SAP.
• Create quotations based on fixed and variable costs.
• Implement processes with factory operators; travel ~25%.
• Provide technical support on manufacturing processes.
• Support UL/ETL audits and data maintenance.
• Assist Quality with variances in MTO production.
• Propose alternative build options.
• Create UL labels and maintain MTO documentation.
• Support label printing and Westfield technical teams.
• Assist Quality on warranty claims.
