Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah seeks a Lift Operations Manager to lead the lift operations team and drive safety, efficiency, and guest-focused service year-round. You will collaborate with the Lift Operations Director and maintenance teams, oversee staffing, training, and performance, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

The role requires strong leadership, outdoor work tolerance, and a track record of developing high-performing teams in a resort setting.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of ski resort operations, lift systems, and procedures.
Proven ability to lead through decision-making, communication, collaboration, and guest service.
Experience supervising large seasonal teams.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather and stand for long periods.
Experience with scheduling, payroll, and workforce management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Lift Operations team (Supervisor, Leads, Operators).
Ensure safety, accountability, and guest service across lift operations.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, payroll, and departmental budgets.
Develop training programs with resort leadership and maintain records.
Monitor performance, implement improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide operational support during lift startups, avalanche periods, and events.
Perform frontline operational duties as needed.
