Corebridge Financial is seeking a Senior Underwriting Consultant to join its underwriting team. You will assess medical and financial risk while supporting sales, using a customer-centric approach to interactions with customers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of life underwriting experience, ability to handle large face amount cases, and authority up to $5,000,000. This remote role offers a competitive salary and discretionary bonus with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience.
• Required approval authority up to $5,000,000.
• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace.
• Desirable progress toward FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal applications and informal quote applications with independence within approval authority guidelines.
• Analyze information to reach comprehensive medical and financial assessments.
• Manage change, defuse conflict and negotiate positive results.
• Take a cross-functional view of work processes and understand ramifications to other areas.
• Be organized and able to manage a large caseload.
• Demonstrate superior underwriting knowledge and skills.
• Provide training on underwriting topics to internal/external customers.
• Interact with a sophisticated field force dealing with an upscale market.
