Corebridge Financial is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriting Consultant to assess medical and financial risk for individual life insurance applications. The role emphasizes a customer‑centric approach and collaboration with sales to protect mortality results while supporting growth.

You will underwrite complex cases, handle high-value policies, and may train staff on underwriting topics. A strong track record in life underwriting and familiarity with brokered distribution are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with larger face amount cases.
• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace.
• Approval authority up to $5,000,000.
• FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations preferred or progress toward these designations.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal applications and informal quote applications within approval authority guidelines.
• Analyze information to assess medical and financial risk per company guidelines.
• Provide training to internal and external customers on underwriting topics.
• Interact with a sophisticated field force dealing with an upscale market.
• Manage a large caseload with organized, systematic processing.
