Corebridge Financial is seeking a Senior Underwriting Consultant to assess medical and financial risk for life insurance applications, balancing sales support with mortality protection. You will work with a customer-centric approach and leverage extensive underwriting expertise.

This remote role offers a base salary of $108,000–$118,000 plus a discretionary bonus, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package and relocation flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with larger face amount cases.
• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace.
• Authority up to $5,000,000 for approvals.
• FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations preferred or progress toward these.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal and informal applications within approval guidelines.
• Assess medical and financial risk per company policy.
• Manage change, defuse conflicts and negotiate positive results.
• Take a cross-functional view of processes and impacts.
• Organize and manage a large caseload efficiently.
• Demonstrate advanced underwriting knowledge and skills.
• Provide training on underwriting topics to staff and clients.
• Interact with field force serving upscale markets.
