Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience.
• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace.
• Approval authority up to $5,000,000.
• FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations preferred or progress toward these designations.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal applications with independent action within guidelines.
• Analyze information to reach medical and financial risk assessments.
• Manage change, defuse conflict and negotiate positive results.
• Take a cross-functional view of processes and understand ramifications.
• Be organized and able to manage a large caseload.
• Demonstrate superior underwriting knowledge and skills.
• Provide training on underwriting topics to internal and external customers.
• Interact with a sophisticated field force dealing with an upscale market.
