Abraxas Youth & Family Services is seeking a Senior Life Skills Coach in Marienville, PA to implement clinical activities and support the daily schedule. You will assist in case management, observe client behavior, and document services in clinical files.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of related experience, valid drivers license, and clearances. Paid training and opportunities for growth are available within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, state & child clearances; FBI if required).
• Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
• Valid drivers license from employees state of residence.
• Valid registered vehicle insurance.

Responsabilités

• Implements clinical activities aligned with the daily clinical schedule.
• Assists in case management and supervises clients.
• Monitors client behavior and documents services in files.
• Processes intakes and screens clients.
• Coordinates client activities and schedules.
• Facilitates psycho-educational groups and education seminars.
• Supports decision making and mentoring of staff.
• Supervises medication administration.
• Ensures adequate supplies for the unit.
• Upholds organization mission and safety principles.
• Demonstrates Safe Crisis Management skills.

What You’ll Do

The primacy function of the Senior Life Skills Coach is to implement clinical activities, which support the daily clinical schedule. In addition, the Senior Life Skills Coach assists in case management, monitors various systems in the treatment unit, supervises clients, monitors and addresses client behavior, and documents services in clinical files.

• Interacts meaningfully with clients.
• Observes client behavior and intervenes appropriately.
• Provides effective people security (headcounts, room checks, client movement, etc.)
• Processes intakes and screens clients
• Implements daily activity schedule - structures and coordinates client activities (i.e. family night, recreation, etc.).
• Facilitates and documents various psycho-educational groups/meetings (i.e. theme groups, D&A
• Education Seminars, process and procedure meetings, etc.).
• Facilitates the decision making process
• Aids in mentoring/orientating the LSWII's
• Supervises self-administration of medication.
• Ensures that the treatment unit has adequate supplies (i.e. toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning supplies, etc).
• Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care
• Demonstrates appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills.
