Job summary

Brailsford & Dunlavey, in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead MEPP and Technology projects for life sciences facilities, guiding design, construction, and occupancy with multidisciplinary teams.

You will manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and procurement while mentoring junior staff and ensuring project delivery aligns with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an MEP/Technology affiliated role (development, real estate, design, construction, or project management).
• Experience supporting complex technology, infrastructure, mission-critical, laboratory, or commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and project teams through the project lifecycle, focused on MEPP and Technology.
• Coordinate and manage design meetings; document discussions and track actions to maintain accountability.
• Drive the creation of MEPP and Technology documents to support project execution.
• Review project requirements and ensure incorporation into consultant deliverables.
• Coordinate procurement of design, construction, and consultant services.
• Support contract development, review, negotiation, and administration for project-related agreements.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain budgets, schedules, and project controls; evaluate changes.
• Analyze budgets/schedules and identify impacts on objectives.
• Participate in value engineering and review alternatives with clients and teams.
• Build partnerships with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain momentum.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
• Monitor construction alignment with design, standards, and schedule; report progress.
• Coordinate successful project closeout for MEPP/Technology and transition/training activities.
