Job summary

Guidehouse Inc. is seeking a Managing Consultant for the Life Sciences team in the Strategy & Transformation Consulting group.

The role focuses on commercial insights, data analytics, and strategy for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, collaborating with Data and Technology Transformation teams to expand data services offerings. Candidates should be market-facing self-starters who own their work, collaborate across projects, and translate business questions into analytics plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; four years of additional professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Four or more years in Life Sciences industry, management consulting, and/or data vendor experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in data-driven consulting functions such as data analytics, launch planning, and market access is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel/Access to guide decision making.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the US up to 20%.
• Authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate client business questions into analytics plans, including cross-sectional, longitudinal, and inferential analyses.
• Summarize data insights for stakeholders with a strategic lens and clear communication.
• Leverage commercial and real-world datasets (claims, formulary, EMR) for insights.
• Lead discussions to define project requirements, scope, and tailored analytics solutions.
• Serve as an intermediary between data scientists and clients to shape engagements.
• Design data-driven engagements, including market sizing, provider profiling, and epidemiology studies.
• Collaborate with strategy and data science teams to execute data-driven projects.
• Develop client proposals, presentations, memos, and reports; work autonomously with oversight.
